Earth/planet implostion/explosion vfx in blender tutorial
this project uses:
- cell fructure to fracture a sphere into the small chunks
- geometry nodes to animate the implosion, i use a proximity node to get the closes chunks to an object and use that must to push those chunks into the sphere, use cross product to add some rotation to the chuncks
- A shader that has 3 layers, a lava texture, a rock texture and the earth texture
- the shader also uses a gradient mask that is animated to scale up, revealing all the different layers
- i also have an additional shere for the atmosphere, with a volume shaders
