New addons you may have missed

there so many people using blender for different things, in fields you would never imagine like medicine, djs and live production, someone in my comments said they use blender on stage for sound, i have no idea how that is possible but ok, i would really like to hear any unique ways you are using blender in the comments section. anyway this week is coming to an end so lets take a look at some new addons that where cooked up this week,

Animation Gen

starting with is animation gen addon, which is a new way to create animation without using any key frames, the addon gives you a curve interface to design your own animations and interpolation, you can easily animate different properties like, scale, position, rotation and more, its just an amazing tool for creating motion graphics really quickly in one area without even knowing about key frame animation.

Flip My Page

the next addon is a simple page flip or book generator, this is one of the hardest thing to animate in blender, you would think using a few bend modifiers and keyframes will do it, but no, its way harder than that, so if you have ever wanted to have a magazine or book page flip animation, check out his addon, all you need is a number of images to use for each page in a folder, the addon can import the images, setup the meshes and animation, so that you can rely on a simple interface to create the animation as you need.

Physical Cables Addon: Next-Gen Simulation Tool

cables are a reliable way to make your scenes look interesting, and the thing about them is that they can work in different scenes, in a scifi scene they can just be electrical cables, in a medieval scene can be used as ropes, in an amazon or post apocalypse scene can work as tree vines, the new physical cables addon creates dynamic cables that can react to collisions, wind and are procedural giving you a wide range of options.

Simplify+ Add-On – Viewport Perfomance

there are alot of addons that help you speed up your render time, but what about addons that help with viewport perfomance, because if your viewport is luggy you will never get to the rendering part to test out your fancy addons, this addon simplify+ is the addon that is going to turn your potato pc into a Giga chard pc, capable of 24 fps viewport performance, it works by actively disabling functions that reduce your viewport fps, simplify your scene so that you can view realtime playback on any computer.

Auto Painter Ai

improvise, adapt and overcome, in this age of Ai with addons like auto painter Ai, texturing from scratch is a difficult process, requires alot of setup and a lot of experience, things have changed and workflows are getting challenged and rewritten right infront of our eyes just like computers changed how paintings where created now we have painters co-existing with digital artists, this auto painter changes how we do texture painting by creating a near finished job and allowing the artist to add polishing touches and direct how things look.

Fake Godray & Glow Objects

Like Ai artists are finding new ways and workflows to create art in more efficient ways, like the use of fake god rays using this addon, god rays require using a volume object which increase render time and also introduce fog that you may want in the scene, using fake god rays like this ensures you only get godrays where you want them and no fog where its not needed saving you computation time for nearly identicall results.

The Roads Must Roll

Every traffic addon blows my mind, especially if its capable of creating procedural roads, and direct traffic like this addon does, you are not just getting a traffic generator you are getting a procedural road, street, and bridge generator with traffic ontop, its simply amazing.

Light Wrangler:

those who make product lighting or commercials for products, you are going to love this node wrangler update, which brings new reflection maps, lights, light gobos and functionality to make the whole lighting process in blender more easier for beginners and pro as well.

Omnistep

Blender may have left its game engine days behind, but the remnants of its interactive potential still lurk beneath the surface. All the pieces are still there—you just need the right tool to uncover them. That’s where OmniStep comes in. This powerful Blender add-on acts as the key to unlock Blender’s game engine roots, providing a scriptable first-person controller that transforms the software into a dynamic, interactive animation and prototyping platform. OmniStep includes a built-in game loop, along with optional scripting to enable more sophisticated interactions and behaviors.

With its customizable controls, OmniStep delivers movement mechanics, collision detection, and input handling on par with modern AAA games, making it ideal for creating lifelike walkthroughs or ultra-smooth fly-throughs without the painstaking manual animation. It can even record player movements and actions, allowing you to craft interactive shots that bring a new level of immersion and fluidity to your projects. Whether you’re building a virtual environment or prototyping interactive experiences, OmniStep turns Blender into a playground for both artists and developers alike.

Destroyed Building Generator

If you’re looking to create post-apocalyptic or war-torn scenes, the Destroyed Building Generator is the tool you need. This addon allows you to quickly generate realistic, destroyed buildings with just a few clicks. Whether you need crumbling walls, shattered windows, or collapsed structures, this generator has it all covered. It’s perfect for adding that gritty, ruined look to your environments, making it easier than ever to create scenes filled with destruction and decay. If your project calls for a touch of chaos, the Destroyed Building Generator will help you bring it to life effortlessly.

Autodepth Ai

In the world of 3D, sometimes it’s all about working smarter, not harder. While it’s easy to get bogged down in the intricate details of modeling, UV unwrapping, and lighting, there are shortcuts that can help you achieve stunning results without spending hours on every tiny feature. One of the most effective tricks is using background textures to create the illusion of complexity. But if you want to push the realism further, tools like Auto Depth AI can be game-changers.

This addon allows you to craft a texture for your mesh from a simple suggestion, then enhance it with depth maps to give it more physical presence. The real magic comes when it simulates parallax movement, making your scene appear richly layered and far more immersive than a flat texture ever could. With Auto Depth AI, you can build intricate, professional-looking environments in less time, letting you focus on the bigger creative picture while still delivering that jaw-dropping level of detail.

Destruction Tools

If you’re looking to add detailed damage effects to your models, Destruction Tools is a must-have add-on for Blender. This powerful collection of Geometry Nodes setups allows you to easily incorporate rebar, cracks, wire mesh, scattered debris, and much more into your scenes—all with just a few clicks. Whether you’re working on weathered structures, battle-scarred objects, or crumbling environments, Destruction Tools offers a wide range of customizable presets that make adding intricate damage details a breeze.

From subtle surface wear to major structural breakdowns, Destruction Tools gives you the control to create realistic destruction without the manual effort. Plus, with procedural flexibility, you can tweak the effects to fit any design or project, ensuring that the damage looks organic and convincing. It’s a perfect fit for those wanting to add a layer of realism and storytelling to their 3D creations.
