#Free Heavy Traffic simulator For Blender
So about a year ago, I made this simple little traffic generator in Blender. It was one of those late-night experiments where you just get an idea and roll with it, and somehow… it worked. Fast forward to todayI decided to open it up in Blender 4.5 just to see if it still runs. You know how updates can sometimes break things, but to my surprise, it’s still fully intact! Everything still works the way it’s supposed to, which honestly made me smile a bit because it means I did something right back then.
the car models used are from this car collection by comrade1280 on sketchfab https://sketchfab.com/3d-models/generic-passenger-car-pack-20f9af9b8a404d5cb022ac6fe87f21f5
Now, I’ll be the first to sayit’s nothing super fancy. It’s very basic. But it does the job, and for anyone who's ever needed a quick traffic scene or just wants to populate a city shot with moving cars, it’s a great little tool to have lying around. I believe I actually made a tutorial on how to create it over on my other channel, TopChannel1on1, so if you're the type who enjoys breaking things down and building them from scratch, that might be worth checking out.
What I really love about it is how flexible it is. You can change the size of the road, adjust how many lanes it has, control the speed of the vehicles, and even decide how many cars you want on the road at once. Whether you’re making a quiet suburban street or a chaotic downtown highway, you can tweak it to suit whatever scene you’re working on.
It’s all built on a curve objectso instead of manually placing roads and vehicles, you just draw the path you want using Blender’s curve tool, and the cars will follow along automatically. It’s procedural, clean, and pretty lightweight. That means you can create some really complex-looking setups without your scene getting super heavy or laggy.
Now, here’s the best part: I’m giving it away for free. Yeptotally free. You can download it right now from my new website. No signups, no email walls, no weird hoops to jump through. Just click and download, and you're good to go. I really believe in sharing stuff that can help others save time or learn something new.
And speaking of sharingI’ve been digging through some of my old projects lately, and I realized I’ve got a bunch of things like this. Little tools, setups, generators… things I made for random projects that I never really released. So I figured, why not start putting them out there? If you like this kind of stuff and want to see more, maybe even use some of these setups in your own projects, make sure to hit that sub button and leave a like. That way you won’t miss any future uploadsand it helps me know this is something you want to see more of.
Anyway, go check it out, try it in your own scenes, mess around with the settings, and let me know what you think. I’d love to see what kind of projects you use it in. Thanks for watching, and I’ll catch you in the next one!
